Summary

Mechanism of glucose dependent insulin release

CORRECTION: The arrow pointing outwards the K+-channel is definitely wrong. It's not only stated the other way round in major biochemistry books (e.g. in German: Löffler et al., Springer Verlag) but also logical if you reflect it yourself: ATP inhibits the K+ flow out of the cell, so there's even more K+ inside which makes the cell depolarise. It should be changed or deleted - it has already been removed from the English and German insulin article. --84.161.221.8 23:09, 10 November 2007 (UTC)
