بن جونسون (بالإنجليزية: Ben Jonson) ولد في عام 1572م وتوفي في عام 1637م كاتب مسرحيات وشاعر وممثل إنجليزي معاصر لشكسبير تأثر في أعماله بكتابات بلوتارخ. لعل أشهر أعماله هي مسرحية The Alchemist أو الخيميائي. التي استلهم احداثها من فترة الطاعون في لندن. يعتبر أعظم مسرحيي عصره بعد شكسبير.
