Various salt water fish with Finnish text, from a 1925-1928 encyclopedia, "Pieni Tietosanakirja", now in the public domain. Scanned in 300 dpi by Lars Aronsson, 2005. Also available at http://runeberg.org/pieni/2/0139.html (which explains the somewhat cryptic filename).

Species

1. Turska (100–150 cm) = Atlantic cod, Gadus morhua
2. Piikkihai (100 cm) = Spiny dogfish, Squalus acanthias
3. Merihärkä (20–25 cm) = Fourhorn sculpin Triglopsis quadricornis
4. Kampela (15–35 cm) = Platichthys flesus (flounder)
5. Makrilli (40–50 cm) = Atlantic mackerel, Scomber scombrus
6. Okarausku (100–400 cm) = Thornback ray, Raja clavata
7. Silli (30 cm) = Atlantic herring, Clupea harengus
8. Miekkakala (250–300 cm) = Swordfish, Xiphias gladius
9. Ruijanpallas (150–200 cm) = Atlantic halibut, Hippoglossus hippoglossus
10. Lohi (90–120 cm) = Atlantic salmon, Salmo salar
